Why We Started VRIGHT RAMAM
The idea of VRIGHT RAMAM was born from one of the most difficult periods of our own lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, with income disrupted, debts mounting and our savings exhausted, our family was going through an extremely difficult period. During that time, our young son suffered a severe eye injury requiring urgent medical treatment and two surgeries.
We did not have the financial resources to meet the cost of his treatment.
Then something extraordinary happened.
Friends, acquaintances and well-wishers came forward. One caring friend even organised a fundraiser through ImpactGuru, which helped us access the medical care our son urgently needed.
That experience changed our understanding of giving and receiving.
We realised that sometimes, when a person is at their most vulnerable, help does not have to come from one wealthy individual or one large institution.
It can come from a community.
One person may contribute a little.
Another may contribute a little more.
Together, they can become someone’s lifeline.
We also continued to see stories of people facing medical, financial and humanitarian distress, as well as neglected animals needing care.
These experiences planted a simple thought:
If help once reached us when we needed it most, perhaps we can become a bridge through which help reaches someone else.
That thought became part of the foundation of VRIGHT RAMAM Vision Trust. And The Myron Bridge takes that thought one step further—by creating a simple, transparent and human way to connect genuine need with willing support, without making RAMAM the holder of the money.
